If you’re looking to donate to charity in Basingstoke, then we would be incredibly grateful for any donation you can make. Your money will help us to provide mental health support for people across Basingstoke who really need our help. If you are able to support us financially, there are a number of ways that you can do this. Alternatively, take a look at ways you can fundraise on our behalf.
Become a regular donor
Knowing that we have a regular income is a huge help to us, enabling us to plan and deliver the services our community needs. Your donation helps us to sustain the emotional wellbeing of the community by providing weekly counselling to those most in need. If you would like to donate on a regular basis, please click the ‘Donate Today’ button at the top of this page.
And did you know you can use Payroll Giving so that your donation is tax free? See below for more details.
Basingstoke & Deane Community Lottery
We’re a member of the Basingstoke & Deane Community Lottery. It’s a great way to donate to charity in Basingstoke – for every £1 ticket you buy, we receive 50p if you choose us as your selected good cause. It’s a great way for us to raise invaluable funds to help us continue our work but it’s also a great way for you to support us and be in with a chance of winning £25,000 and plenty of other fantastic prizes.
Head over to our page to support us and buy your tickets.
Payroll giving
This is a simple and tax-efficient scheme run by HMRC for monthly donations to be made direct from your gross salary. This means that the tax you would have paid HMRC goes to BCS instead and your donation goes further towards supporting our cause.
Your employer will need to sign up to a Payroll Giving scheme, which is easy to do. More information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/payroll-giving
Make a one-off donation
As a small charity, no matter what amount you give, your donation will assist us in improving the mental health of our neighbours. Please click the ‘Donate Today’ button above to support us now.
Don’t forget that you can boost your donation by 25p for every £1 you donate by using the Gift Aid scheme. This scheme from HMRC allows us to reclaim an extra 25% on your donations made during the past 4 years, as well as on all future donations, without costing you a penny. To be eligible to sign up for Gift Aid you must be a UK taxpayer and all we require is a simple signed form, which you will be directed to as you follow our donation process.
Leave a legacy in your will
How about creating a legacy by leaving a gift to BCS in your will? You can leave a percentage of your estate, a specific amount of money, or a specific gift such as personal possession, land or stocks and shares. The impact of a legacy gift such as this would mean that we can expand our work and find new ways to reach members of the community and offer them the support they need to improve their mental health and thrive.
